Botanical Future
Brand Development & Creative Direction
Overview
Botanical Future is a NYC-based community platform exploring sustainability through creative storytelling, events, and experiential activations. As co-founder, I helped build the brand from the ground up, from its name and visual identity to the voice it uses to make sustainability feel accessible, beautiful, and lived-in.
Name & Symbolism
The Name
“Botanical” speaks to a reconnection with more nurturing, regenerative ways of living: slowing down, caring deeply, and rebuilding in harmony.
The Mark
The logo features a city growing from a lotus flower, symbolizing renewal and the emergence of new systems within existing environments.
Visual Identity
Co-developed a visual language grounded in nature, using color to reflect growth, connection, and energy. The identity carries across social content, event materials, and community activations.
The Challenge
Sustainability messaging often leans on guilt, urgency, or dense information. We wanted a brand that invited people in instead: something that felt hopeful, creative, and rooted in connection, especially for people living in cities.
Brand Voice & Storytelling
Through Instagram, we translate complex sustainability topics into accessible, engaging formats, including interviews, visual storytelling, and creative campaigns.
Bringing the Brand to Life
The brand extends into real-world experiences through community activations, including street cleanups, workshops, and exhibitions at sustainability-focused gatherings, and through GreenHouse, our event series bridging nightlife and nature. View GreenHouse here!
